Local HistoryA station on the Chicago & Western Michigan (now Pere Marquette) Railroad in 1885. The village was founded by the Swigart Land Company and named for Adelmer J. Wells who became its first postmaster on June 30, 1892. The office was transferred to and renamed Dublin on April 18, 1898, but was returned to Wellston, with William A.
