Tecumseh Country Club

Local History

Founded in 1824 by Musgrove Evans, Joseph W. Brown (both Quakers), and Austin E. Wing.  It became the county seat in 1826-37.  Incorporated as a village in 1837 and as a city in 1953.  Named after the Shawnee Chief Tecumseh.
