BusinessesLocal HistoryA Clay Township village on the north side of the channel connection Anchor Bay with the St. Clair River. First settled by the French, 12 private claims were listed here in 1796. Harry E. Bryant became its first postmaster, with the name of the office first spelled Pearlbeach, on August 2, 1898, and he was the agent on its station on the Detroit and River St. Clair Railroad.
