Gardens open Tuesday - Saturday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., June-September

Gardens open Tuesday - Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., April-May and October-November

 

Tea House open Tuesday - Friday Noon-4 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., May 30-December 1 

 

Gardens are free, call for tour prices & full tea ceremony prices.

 

The Japanese Cultural Center and Tea House offers insights into Japanese culture and the ritual and ceremony of the tea service.  Saginaw's ties with Tokushima, its sister city in Japan, lead to the establishment of the Friendship Garden; many of the trees, bridges and stones used in the garden come from Japan.  Following the garden tour, tea and sweets are served.
