Local HistoryNamed after one of its five nearby lakes. The village dates its founding as 1912, when it had two year-round residents. In 1915, the real estate firm of Branch, Anderson & Tyrrell purchased and platted the site. A station on a branch of the Pere Marquette Railroad.
