Local HistoryGiven a post office named Pine Lake, from its location on Pine Lake on May 14, 1i879. By legislative action, it was renamed Haslett Park on September 19, 1890 and Haslett on June 28, 1895, for James Haslett. He began it as a summer camp for Spiritualists and hoped to make it their national headquarters, but that program ended with his death.
