Local HistoryThis village in Hamilton Township is believed to have been founded by Philander Sisson who built and ran a general store here in 1867. Its post office, opened on December 23, 1867, with William Barton as its first postmaster, was named Bad River, but was changed to Edgewood on January 26, 1874.
