Golf CoursesLocal HistoryIn 1838, Daniel North built a sawmill here on Mill Creek and the place became known as North Park. It was given a station named Mill Creek on both the Grand Rapids & Indiana and the Chicago & Western Michigan Railroads. The North mill was bought by Eli Plumb who added a flouring mill in 1866. Charles C. Comstock represented this district in Congress from 1885-86 and on June 8, 1906, the village and its post office were renamed for him.
