Local HistoryIn the fall of 1874, John E. Darrah came here from Kent County and the next spring his wife and family joined him. His homestead covered the site of the present village of which he became the first postmaster on December 8, 1879. A station on the Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad. He named it after Clarion, PA.
