Local History

First settled by Asahel Kent, from Ohio, in 1838.  He died in 1840 and his widow married tavern-keeper, Peter D. McNaughton.  The named was changed from Caledonia Station to Caledonia.  Incorporated as a village in 1888, named after Caledonia, NY.
