Philanthropist Andrew Carnegie would likely delight in knowing how the "temple of learning" he built in Port Huron has developed into a vibrant center for those with a passion for learning about art, history, and marine heritage.
The 1904 building remains an authentic example of turn-of-the-century Carnegie Libraries. From its columned rotunda to the glass floor on its mezzanine.
Throughout the year, the Port Huron Museum sponsors a variety of special events, educational classes, lectures, musical and dramatic productions, bus tours, and outreach services to schools, nursing homes, and community centers.
In addition to the museum's permanent displays, there are monthly exhibitions featuring art from around the world and showcasing the work of the Blue Water Area's finest artists.
