Israel & Francis Posey (Pauze)

Marine City, Michigan

I am looking for my relatives that came from Quebec and lived in Marine City and St. Clair and Port Huron.  They also lived in the Detroit area in the 1800's.             

Israel Sr. was born July 19, 1828 in Joliette, Quebec. He had a brother.  His brother was Rev. Fr. Legure Posey (Pauze) don't know his b.d.  

Israel married Frances Lauzon in 1850 in Marine City ,Mi. After building the first locks in Sault Ste.Marie.

Frances and Israel had several children: Emma 1858 ,Israel 1860 , Frances 1862, James 1863 , Eugene1872 , Paul W. 1879 . Paul is my Great-Grandfather. He married Catherine Babel.

I  am searching for my French Canadian ancestors from Quebec, and their descendents. My name is Dennis A. Posey, I am the son of Dennis P. Posey, my grandfather was Alfred J. Posey, my great-grandfather was Paul W. Posey, and my great-great-grandfather was Isreal Pauze, {Posey}.

I was born in Port Huron Michigan, and I am 38 years old and living in Burton Michigan. I seam to have come to a dead-end in my ancestral search in finding out who Isreal Pauze's {Posey's} father was, as well as what parish and in what diocese did his brother Fr. Legure Posey serve in.
