Caney Basome Armes

I have a question and hoped you might be able to help me. My grandfather, Caney Basome Armes, supposedly committed suicide at a lumberyard in Centerville in the 1950's. I wondered if you might be aware of the name of this lumberyard. I have his death certificate and it does list suicide as the cause, but the family has never believed it to be true. I have asked questions before of the police department and even tried to get a hold of any records of an autopsy. I'd like to research this all while my father (his son) and his sisters and brother are still alive.
